Abstract EN

The present research paper focuses in the study of some economical obstacles that oppose the economic take-off for the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC).

The aim of this study is, to know the economic evolutions in the organization countries, reveal the effect of oil price decrease on the global incomes of OAPEC countries, discuss Rostow’s economic take-off ideas, and present some of the obstacles to the economic take-off.

From our study, we point out the luck of strategic views, in addition to political tugging that prohibit the economic take-off in OAPEC countries in spite of the considered development programs adopted, the availability of sources and capacities in the OAPEC countries, but the presence of many obstacles in general manner and economic ones in a specified manner that work against the development and the economic take-off in those countries.

Furthermore, poverty which are suffering most countries of the organization, that is the direct cause of many health and social problems in addition to psychological, social and moral crises that results the take-off delay.

As consequence, we advise that in order to realize the economic take-off, the member states must work to mobilize savings and provide the appropriate economic environment to attract foreign investment.
