Despite all the efforts carried out by Arabic countries to bridge the food gap, achieving food security remains a significant and tough challenge.

Through the present analysis of food security reality in the Arab world during the period 2000/2013, we come to the reality that the food gap has worsened.

It has reached 35.6 billion dollars in 2013, statistics have showed that the value of foreign trade food commodities during the period (2010/2012) has increased, reaching about 75.1 billion dollars in 2012 among which 16.26 billion dollars are exports and 27.7% imports.

These results reveal clearly the vulnerability of food security in the Arab world.
