The evidences in the Quran and the Sunnah explained the true definitions of these names so they could be clearly distinguished.

The evidences also explained what opposed these things and contradicted them.

This essay was written to explain what the Quran and the Sunnah verified about these issues and what the Scholars said about the differences between polytheism, disbelief, hypocrisy and the great sins.

The essay was divided in two chapters: The first chapter defined and explained the categories of polytheism, disbelief, hypocrisy and big sins.

This chapter was divided into four topics.

Every topic defined one of these names, explained its categories and the ruling of each category.

The second chapter explained the differences between polytheism, disbelief, hypocrisy and big sins.

That chapter was divided into six topics.

Every topic explained the difference between these names with evidences and the statements of the scholars.

The essay was ended by mentioning its most important results.
