Abstract EN

This research deals with the Inscriptions of the Dome of the Rockone of the oldest buildings of the Umayyad period, built in the time of Abdul Malik bin Marwan.

The Most noticeable inscriptions on the walls of the building from the inside , are Quranic verses from some different Soras of the holy Qora’n.

One most pressing question is, why did not Surat Al Esraa’ or some of its verses appear on the walls? Was this Sura or some verses found on the walls, but whether disappeared for unknown reasons, the restoration work? This is the question.
