field study was conducted at the Biological Control Studies and Research Center, Faculty of Agriculture, Damascus University (Syria) during the season 2012/2013 to evaluate the susceptibility of seven genotypes of Sorghum bicolor against the infestation by the corn stem borer, Sesamia cretica Led.

Results showed that Jeeza15 was distinguished by the highest infestation rate of seedlings (18.69%), while the lowest percentage was on Ezraa5 (10.84%).

At harvest, infestation rates for Jeeza15 was the highest (23.19%), and the lowest rate was for Ezraa7 (14.03%).

Jeeza15 was distinguished by the highest rate of dead heart (16.26%), while the lowest rate was for Ezraa67 (10.64%).

Jeeza15 was distinguished by the highest rate of reduction of plant height (29.84%), while the lowest percentage was for Ezraa67 (17.69%).

There were significant differences in the number of holes/plant, the lowest number of 2.5 hole/plant was for Ezraa67 and Mayo, while the highest rate was for Jeeza15 (4.25 hole/plant).

There were differences in the number of holes on one plant; the highest number was 3.75 hole/plant (Jeeza15), while the lowest one was 2.25 hole/plant for Ezraa7.

The Length of tunneled/plant is differed depending on sorghum biotype, the longest tunnel was for Jeeza15 (32.16 cm), and the lowest was for Ezraa7 (2.25 cm).

The number of larva on one plant is differed depending on sorghum biotype, the highest number was for Jeeza15 (3.75 larva/ plant), while the lowest number was for Mayo (2.25 larva/ plant).

Plant yield loss has ranged in different varieties between 43.22% for Kharabo113 and 72.65% for Mayo.
