The crime of money laundry threatens the entity of states and their sovereignty over their territory as this crime causes a crucial damage to the national and international economy.

This papers highlights the concept and definition of money laundering, its characteristics, the elements of this crime and its patterns, and the means of control and the different international cooperation to fight and reduce this crime.

Moreover, the researchers explain the general framework of money laundering, and highlight the impediments in investigating such a crime.

The study also identifies the obstacles that faces coordination at the international level in addressing this problem.

This is done through the use of descriptive analytical approach and relying on some of the previous studies and research that tackled this topic.
