Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the relationship between foreign direct investment and economic growth in Jordan during the period (1980-2013(.

To achieve the objective of the study, a descriptive analytical approach was used through applying co-integration analysis and the error correction model.

The results indicated that there is a long-term complementary relationship between foreign direct investment, inflation, and economic growth.

This relationship was negative and statistically significant.

The value of the coefficient of error correction for the model of the study was (78.9%), which means that there is a percentage of (78.9%) of the deviations in the balance over the long term that can be adjusted over a period of time equal to a year.
