Abstract EN

This study aims at explaining the legitimacy and necessities of what Muslims call “Anasekh wa al mansoukh,” a jargon that deals with those verses that had been replaced by later ones.

The “mansoukh” laws—induced form the “mansoukh” verses—are replaced by the “anasekh” ones, thus.

In this research, I try to shed light on this issue basing on some direct evidence from the Holy Quran and the Prophet’s traditions.

The results of this study show that the cases in which God passed these “anasekh” verses agree with the general Islamic principles of protecting and maintaining public and private purposes (usually referred to as the five purposes).
