The research tackles the image of water in the holy Quran hinging upon the stylistic approach through a horizontal axis that closely examines the semantic harmony among contiguous vocabulary which forms the linguistic texture of water's image, on one hand, and the relationship between such texture and the whole context on the other hand; in addition to the vertical axis that rationalizes any preference of any lexical choice over other choices at hand within the appropriate context of that image.
