Abstract EN

The green areas in the city of great importance and have a key role in providing opportunities for rest and enjoy the pleasures of nature to city dwellers , so we see that the circles Municipality and Urban Planning is working to create a lot of parks and public gardens , and trying to be distributed to parts of the city in line with the requirements of residential neighborhoods , and are summarized problem of the study to know the standards of planning global distribution of green areas , and knowledge of the geographical pattern to the distribution of public gardens and parks in the city of Najaf through the use of GIS technology GIS, and the proportionality of the area with the size of the population in each neighborhood , as well as identify the per capita green space , and the extent of the disparity visual green spaces between the neighborhoods of the city, and Fterdt study the distribution pattern of green areas and public parks random and depends on the size of the floor space unused and virtually none in some neighborhoods due to the high population density Vihakkma the study assumed that the per capita share of greenery does not match with the criteria that determine per capita in most parts of the city.

The study aims to identify the spatial pattern of the distribution of parks in the city of Najaf and its environmental impact and determine the shape of its geographic reach and neighborhoods which are needed to exist.

The research found that there is a clear divergence in the distribution of green space between the neighborhoods of the city of Najaf as it varies per capita share of greenery between (0 / person 22 m 2 / person) , and this disparity is not in conformity with the standards applicable Aalemia and due to poor planning , in addition to the the researcher found that there is a need to set up many of the parks , especially those neighborhoods that suffer from a lack of presence or those that do not arrive scope of service in neighborhoods which clarified the researcher through the use of the method (Buffers).
