Abstract EN

The study aimed to recognize the reality of the sanitation services in urban centers of the province of Qadisiyah and the challenges that impede access to these services to all urban areas in the governorate, the study found that sanitation services cover only %03 of the total served population sewage networks.

As it turns out there are two wastewater treatment raised in the province and are the main treatment plant located in the city of Diwaniya spend Diwaniyah center in the charitable area design capacity ( 000333m 0/ day), and a water treatment plant located in the hand of the monastery of the center of design capacity ( 0573m 0/ day).

The study also showed that the quality of treated water exceeded the allowable environmental limits and according to the determinants of pollution allowed by Iraqi standards (5) to throw the treated water to water resources, it is vital oxygen demand record (BOD7) to request oxygen Alkamiawi (COD) suspended solids ( TSS) (50.30and 00.30and%05.70) for each of them respectively.

This confirms that there are problems in the operation thereof main treatment plant being old station operates more than the actual capacity.
