Abstract EN

This research investigates the beautiful names of Allah and the issue of belief as presented at the beginning of Surat al-Hadeed, the study introduces the views of the textual school and exegesis of its main figure such as al-Tabari, Ibn Katheer and al-Qurtubi.

It also presents the views of al-Kalam school as given in al-Razi, Ibn Atiyyah, al-Nasafi, Ibn Ashoor and Abu al-Su'ood's works.

The research also investigates the views of rationalists' school.

The study shows that the three schools of thought share the same goal which is the exaltation of Allah.

The main differences in methodology between the three schools is that the first depended on solitary ahadith which was rejected as evidence on the issue under investigation by the other two schools who depended on interpretation.
