Abstract EN

The research aimed for isolating Staphylococcus aureus from raw chicken meat and detecting enterotoxin .

450 samples of raw chicken meat ( 150 samples of thighs- 150 samples of breasts -150 of wings ) were collected from retail market in Hama- Syria.

The results of bacteriological and biochemical tests revealed the presence of 73 isolates (16.2%) Staphylococcus aureus (coagulase- positive) and 334 isolates of coagulasenegative Staphylococcus .

Moreover results showed that 30 isolates (41.1%) produced SEA and one isolate(1.4%) produce SEA+SEB out of 73 isolates of Staphylococcus aureus.

The results of Multiplex PCR test showed that 37 isolates (50.7%) harbored at least one gene,where 33 isolates contained the gene sea (45.2%) , 3 isolates contained the gene see (4.1%) and one isolate contained the gene sea + seb (1.4%).
