This study aimed to explore the degree of using instructional and assessment strategies included in science curriculum by physics teachers, in their classroom instruction, and the effect of each of gender, qualifications and instructional experience on the degree of using these strategies in their classroom instruction.

The aim of this study was to answer the following questions: 1) What is the degree of using instructional and assessment strategies included in science curriculum in their classroom instruction? 2) Does the degree of using instructional and assessment strategies included in science curriculum in their classroom instruction differ due to gender, scientific degree and instructional experience? The sample of the study, consisted of (60) male and female teachers, who teach physics distributed on the public schools of the directorate of Salt Governorate.

The study revealed the following results: a) The degree physics teachers use instructional and assessment strategies included in science curriculum, were (56.70%) of those with a high usage of the strategies, (43.30%) of those with a low usage of the strategies.

b) There were significant differences at (α=0.05) for the degree of using these strategies included in science curriculum in their classroom instruction, due to the variable of gender for the sake of females.

The results also showed that there are no significant differences at (α=0.05), for the degree of using these strategies by physics teachers which are due to the variable of the scientific degree and the instructional experience.
