The author of the manuscript is the Egyptian doctor Shams al-Din Muhammad bin Badr al-Din Muhammad Qusoni.
His father Sheikh Badr al-Din, (1511), was the doctor of the Sultan and the chief of doctors in Cairo.
He taught his son Shams al-Din medical science and methods of treatment.
The manuscript deals with a specific subject in medicine, hemorrhoids disease addressed by the author in four chapters.
The first chapter is devoted to the nature of the disease and its divisions, causes and signs.
The second chapter deals with the laws that should be taken into account by patients with this disease.
He spoke in the third chapter on treatment.
Chapter IV lists the useful medicines in alphabetical order.
