On April 2002, Israel decided to build the “the wall in the West Bank under the pretext of cracking down the Palestinian resistance and stopping the Palestinian’s operations.

Israel swallowed up half of the West Bank’s lands, took over the resources of the Palestinians, and carried out plans to expel and displace the Palestinian people.

Two similar barriers, the Israeli Gaza strip barrier and wall separating Gaza to Egypt which is currently under Egyptian control.

It became clear from the context of our previous presentation that the so-called “Apartheid wall”, is not just a wall or fence, its purpose is not confined to separation or security.

The Apartheid wall is a crime against humanity.

The term « crimes against humanity » is recognized by ICC statute as including acts such as murder, extermination, enslavement, deportation, torture, rape, when committed as part of a widespread or systematic attack directed against any civilian population before or during the war.

The International Court of justice (ICJ) ruled illegal Israel’s massive separation that alongside and inside the Palestinian territories.

But The ICJ in its advisory opinion on the barrier, wrote it had chosen to use the term “wall” as “the other expressions such as Apartheid, fence, separation barrier.
