Abstract EN

The purpose of the study is to analyze the impact of GCC sovereign funds on economic stability.

The first section of the study deals with the concept of sovereign funds, their origin, development, types, characteristics and objectives.

The second section shows the sovereign funds in the GCC countries in terms of size, structure of investments and distribution of assets.

The impact of sovereign funds on economic stability and their relationship to a number of macroeconomic variables are presented in the third section.

The study concluded with a number of conclusions and suggestions.

this includes that sovereign funds help to address the structural imbalance.

It also contributes to the diversification of the economy and the increase in sources of income.

It improves the efficiency of the distribution of revenues and enhances the liquidity of the consequences in general, and in periods of international financial pressures in particular.

The existence of these funds enables the economic authorities in the country to use appropriate fiscal policies, whether in surplus or deficit.

On the other hand, sovereign funds, through the size of their large assets and due to the nature of their investments, they contribute to international economic stability, and provide the necessary liquidity in the event of crisis in the markets International Finance.
