Abstract EN

Because of its economic and social effects, inflation is considered one of the main indicators that reflect the degree of state control of its macroeconomic situation; so try to control inflation has become a challenge.

In the framework of the inflation study, this research adopts an approach based on statistical methodology: Data- Exploration-Modeling.

The content of this approach involves exploratory analysis of the data using both the principal component analysis and the classification, and then using the results of this preliminary analysis in the construction of an econometric model that explains inflation.

According to this research, inflation is determined by internal and external model.

For the internal model, its variables are related to the national economy (liquidity, rediscount rate and GDP shrinkage), and the external, its variables reflect imported inflation (exchange rate, imports).
