Exerted international efforts for nonproliferation of weapons of mass destruction and prevent their spread in two parallel lines: the first is designed to prevent their use for military purposes, while the second aims to prevent their diversion from peaceful uses to military purposes, the consequences for those international efforts set of conventions and treaties designed to prohibit the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
