Abstract EN

The current proposed study investigates one of the Qur’an miracles that has been extensively discussed and written about by various scholars and linguists over time in an attempt to analyze and explain it.

Their efforts have contributed to a bulk of knowledge.

The point in discussion in this research is the Qur’an Rhetoric envisaged properly in textual features such as eloquent vocabulary and unique figurative language.

Albaqilani, an Ash’ari Muslim scholar, pioneered Qur’an rhetoric research ever since.

He centered his effort around refuting atheists claims so as to prove the fact that Qur’an is above all a holy text written originally in Arabic; so unique in its textual features that no human being could ever draft it.

He further refuted the argument, held by the scholar Romani, that Qur’an took some features from poetry or other similar texts.

The Albaqilani’s thorough research has enormously influenced Orientalist scholars regardless of their cultural affiliations to the extent that they have held his views about the Qur’an rhetoric.

In addition, Orientalist scholars use Qur’an studies to enhance their scientific background and research procedures.
