Abstract EN

Arab economies and especially the gulf countries face many challenges to make the transformation to the knowledg eeconomy that is one of the main issues in these economies.

This study tries to show the fact and reality of knowledge economy in the gulf economies through their results in the world bank knowledge economy index, which describes the difficulties that make it so hard to build a knowledge economy as global modern issue based on knowledge production, innovation and development.

This study concluded that despite of the acceptable situation of gulf economies in the knowledge economy index where it is situated in better ranks in a comparaison to otherarab countries, these economies still traditional in their function because of the difficulties that block their transformation pathe specially that is related to human resources investment in efficient way.
