The development of the urban way networks, linked to the growth of automobile use, wasn’t without effect on the city.
The express ways created in the suburbs, were quickly caught up by the urbanisation to become in origin of a lot of problematics.
This situation has raised many critics and debates.
In this way, our research attempts to understand the origin of problematic cohabitation city-express ways, and to detect the new reflections in the improvement of the relationship between road and city.

Le développement des réseaux de voies liés à l’essor de l’usage de l’automobile n’a pas été sans effet sur la ville.
Les voies rapides urbaines créées en périphéries ont été vite rattrapées par l’urbanisation pour devenir à l’origine de plusieurs problématiques.
Une situation qui a suscité beaucoup de critiques et de débats.
De là, notre recherche s’attache à comprendre l’origine de la cohabitation problématique à la ville et aux voies rapides, et à déceler les nouvelles réflexions pour l’amélioration du rapport de la voie à la ville.
