Bank credit function plays an important role in realizing the targets of commercial banks , so that the credit dominate the most of assets for these banks , also the credit contribute by bigger share of operational income for these banks .

Bank credit faces High challenge that it is bank credit risks which hinder realizing goals of bank credit .

In today’s increasingly competitive financial world, risks are becoming unavoidableface of banking life especially with the growing body of banking activities and the reliance on technology.The effect of these risks varies from one bank to another .Since exposure to credit risk continue to be the leading source of problems in banks supervisors should evaluate ,identify, analyse and then effectively manage different sources of these risks.

The effective management of credit risks is critical component of a comprehensive approach to risk management and essential to the long -term success of any bank.

This paper aims to describe risks that banking institutions are still facing and how to manage the credit risk effectively.
