Abstract EN

This study aimed to detect the effect of using interactive whiteboard for improving second basic grade students' writing performance skill in accordance with writing performance-based standards .The researcher selected a sample consisted of (61) male and female second grade from Al Andalus Private Academy pupils in the city of Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates, who were divided into a control and experimental groups.

A pre-test was conducted on the two groups to ensure parity between them.

After that, the pupils were trained on writing skills in accordance with the standards stated in the study by using the interactive whiteboard for two months.

Then, a post test was conducted to get the results which revealed a general weakness in the writing performance skill of second basic grade pupils, and the presence of statistically significant differences between the performance of the pupils in favor of the experimental group which was trained by using the interactive whiteboard.

The results also revealed that there were statistically significant differences, and in favor of the experimental group on every standard stated in the study.

The standard of healthy came first, while the standard of regulation came last.

The study recommended taking advantage of interactive whiteboard technology in improving writing skills for students of the basic stage.
