العوامل الخمسة الكبرى للكشف عن السمات الشخصية لدى طلبة كلية التربية الرياضية بجامعة اليرموك و الجامعة الأردنية : دراسة مقارنة

Abstract EN

This study aimed at identifying the big five personality traits (neuroticism, agreeableness, extraversion, conscientiousness, openness to experience) of physical education students at Yarmouk University and University of Jordan.

Arabic version of a questionnaire developed by Costa & McCrea (1989) that measures the big five personality traits was used.

Within the survey, (612) male and female students were randomly selected.

Means, standard deviations, and independent samples t-test were used for data analysis.

Gender differences were not found among Yarmouk University students whereas neuroticism was in favor of male students at the University of Jordan.

Furthermore, male and female students at the University of Jordan had higher degree of neuroticism compared to their peers at Yarmouk University while the opposite results were found for extraversions, agreeableness, and conscientiousness
