Abstract EN

The war which was declared by the United States of America against Iraq in March 2003 is considered as one of the most dangerous wars in the world with the beginning of the third Millennium .This war warned the dangerous transformation on the level of international relations especially this war was outside the international legality after the failure of the United States to issue a resolution from the Security Councilto launch a war against Iraq after presenting many pretexts among them the incorporation of Iraq with the International Inspection Committees of banned weapons and that Iraq has these weapons and threatens the neighboring countries and the national security of the United States.

At the beginning of 2002, the United States tried to invoke the Iraqi question towards a pressing climate to launch a war against Iraq in order to topple the Iraqi regime.

These efforts start with the visit by US Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitiz (2001-2005) to Turkey at the beginning of January 2002 asking her to participate in the war against Iraq.

The importance of the present study comes from the position of Turkish participation in the war in the third Gulf War in 2003 within the American claims to open a northern front from the Turkish territories.

This study takes into consideration the Turkish efforts to make use of these circumstances regionally and internationally on the economic and political levels under the developments of the Kurdish question in Iraq and the postwar US position because it’s the greatest question by which Turkey is worried about in the future
