Abstract EN

Aims: To identify the emotional and cognitive impacts of the Egyptian children use of internet forums.

Importance: Theoretical Importance, The researcher finds that this study will contribute to enriching Egyptian libraries, Many fields with benefit from it, precisely scientific research in academic studies and the media students, while the Applicable Importance were the positive use of internet forums and the reduction of their negative effects.

Sample: 400 children intentionally selected from the preparatory stage students.

The sample was divided as follows: Urban 100 male, 100 female Damietta and Ezbet El-Borg Administrations, rural areas 100 male, 100 female Faraskor and Kafr Saad Administrations.

Method: The descriptive method.

Tool: A questionnaire.

Results: The most important cognitive impacts: Internet forums make me in a state of constant thinking in the first place with average 1.93 and standard deviation of 0.80, Internet forums develop my ability to convince others with my views with average 1.83 and standard deviation 0.83, and There are significant statistically differences at the level 0.05 about the cognitive impacts of using internet forums between the first and the second intermediate grades in favor of the second grade (i.e.

the older).

While the most important emotional impacts were feeling satisfied with the information available through the Internet forums in first place with average of 1.98 and a standard deviation of 0.78, getting moral support, with average of 1.83 and a standard deviation of 0.67, feeling happy and psychologically comfortable during my use of the Internet forum, with average of 1.75 and a standard deviation of 0.77, and There are significant statistically differences at the level 0.05 about the emotional impacts of using internet forums between the first and the third intermediate grades in favor of the third grade (i.e.

the older).
