Abstract EN

The novel was and still is the expressing voice of the controversial dialogue between the East and the West, for its capacity to reflect the social, economical and cultural interactions, and to represent those in the motion of their growth, evolution and complications.

Thus, drawing the attention of the critics for being on the ridge of the modern critical studies, and for being the chronicle of the human march which is submitted in a loftier artistic manner.

Yet, in the history of novel-perception, it seemed unlikely for the two parts to cross roads, and main feature was this modern conflict between the two sides.

However, came the novel “Kitab al-Amir Masalek Abwab Al-Hadyd”, written by Al-A’raj Wasyny, as a turning point for the Arabic novel; A new perspective enveloping the modern dialogue in a new relation with the other part.
