Abstract EN

This study aims to study the impact of Algerian banking reforms on Algeria's local product (1990- 2015) as well as the role played by the banking sector in the process and development of the economy.

In order to address the problem of the subject and test its hypotheses, We relied on the case study methodology where all the Algerian banks were selected, and from this we relied on the simple regression models method in the applied side.

The study concluded that there is a real correlation between the indicators of the Algerian banking sector and GDP, and that the banking sector has great importance in economic development, which reflects the development of the country policy.

Therefore, it is necessary to ensure the good management of this sensitive sector because of its importance in the enterprise prosperity cycle on the one hand and to avoid financial crises on the other hand.
