Abstract EN

Internet addiction is a new psychological disorder, which attracted the attention of many researchers especially in terms of its effects.

This study aims at examining the relationship between internet and Social isolation among a sample of students enrolled in Oum El Bouaghi University.

It aims, also, at knowing the differences among genders as far as internet addiction satisfaction is concerned.

The study sample consisted of (194) students (92) males and (102) females from various faculties.

Two scales were used; the Internet addiction scale and the Social isolation one.

The study revealed the following results: - There is a positive correlation between internet and Social isolation among a sample of students enrolled in Oum El Bouaghi University.

-Significant differences appeard between males and females in internet addiction showing that males are more addicted to internet than females.
