Entrepreneurship is the ambition that has long been sought by global organizations, which endeavor to instill their concepts into their employees, at all levels, and drive them to work under a reliable leadership located at the top of organizational pyramid.

Such ambition is pursued by both international and local organizations, including universities, which aspire to achieve a global ranking.

Having an extensive experience in entrepreneurial leadership, King Saud University came to be one of those institutions that deserve and even aspire to have a leading position in the world.

This study aims to review and discuss entrepreneurial leadership in terms of its evolution and development, and seeks to identify the dimensions and skills of entrepreneurial leadership in detail.

It will identify the common denominators between entrepreneurial leadership and academic leadership elements where they will be put forth for analysis and examination.

The study also seeks to review King Saud University’s experience with entrepreneurial leadership which took over its responsibilities during the start of the current decade.

The study concluded with providing a comprehensive framework for entrepreneurial leadership according to which a proposed framework in Saudi universities has been developed.

The study also recommended that the proposed framework for entrepreneurial leadership should be adopted, and as a result, an academic, legislative and regulatory environment should be provided.

It is also recommended that leaders with entrepreneurial leadership competencies and skills should be selected.
