Abstract EN

This study attempted to identify the quantitative factors that influence monthly share prices of listed Islamic banks in Qatar Stock Exchange between March 2005 and August 2014.

The study was based on the panel model which included three Islamic banks and a set of the following independent variables: The previous share price, dividend yield per share, earning per share, book value per share, company value, price earning ratio, turnover ratio, oil price and money supply.

Understanding the impact of such factors on the share prices of Islamic banks enables them to enhance their market value and helps investors to frame profitable investment strategies.

The empirical findings showed that Qatar Islamic banks share prices had a significant positive relationship with its previous price, dividend yield per share, turnover ratio, oil price and money supply.

However, there was a significant negative relationship between the share price and earning per share and company value.

The book value per share and price earning ratio had an insignificant impact.

Based on the results obtained, this study offered some recommendations that may be employed to improve the efficiency oflslamic banks in Qatar Stock Exchange.
