Abstract EN

This paper sheds light on the financial education of individuals in Algeria as it did not receive the necessary attention from individuals themselves, researchers, financial institutions and public authorities.

The paper focuses on the importance of financial education.

It also puts into perspective the results of the most important studies that have been conducted on this subject around the world and in the Maghreb countries.

Moreover, it examines the efforts of Maghreb countries including Algeria in promoting financial education.

At the end, a battery of measures is suggested in order to promote financial education.
