Abstract EN

The objective of the study is to investigate the predictive ability of the cumulative average for the preparatory year in the prediction of university academic achievement.

To achieve the objectives of the study, Pearson correlation coefficient and simple linear regression analysis were used.

The results showed that the preparatory year at King Faisal University has a positive role in the performance of the academic students and that there is a positive and statistically significant relation at(a=0.01) between the cumulative average for the preparatory year and the university academic achievement.

The study also found regression equations for each college that can be used to predict university academic achievement.
