This article addresses the issue of France's violation of the provisions of international humanitarian law during its occupation of Algeria and examines the question of the commission of international crimes prohibited by international law by violating the rules of international humanitarian law during the period of colonialism that lasted nearly a century and a half of time.

The French war on Algeria and the extent to which the latter applied the rules of international humanitarian law through its war crimes and the responsibility of its actions.
