Abstract EN

This study aimed at finding out the level of practicing servant leadership by school principals of the General Secretariat for the Christian Educational Foundations in Amman, from the teachers’ point of view.

The sample of the study consisted of (278) male and female teachers, who were drawn from the population by using proportional stratified random sample method.A questionnaire was developed to measure the level of practicing servant leadership by school principals after finding its validity and reliability.The findings of the study were as the following:The level of practicing servant leadership by school principals of the General Secretariat for the Christian Educational Foundations in Amman, from teachers’ point of view was medium.There were significant differences at (α≤0.05) in the level of practicing servant leadership by school principals of the General Secretariat for the Christian Educational Foundations in Amman attributed to gender variable in favor of male teachers in three areas: altruism, empowerment and humility.

With regard to the “agape” area, the difference was in favor of female teachers, whereas for “experience” variable, the difference was in favor of (5–less than 10 years) category, and to the “academic qualification” variable the difference was in favor of bachelor degree holders, and to the school stage” variable the difference was in favor of basic stage.
