Abstract EN

The research aims at getting acquainted with the contemporary theatre and with the humanbeing image in the mechanized society.

The research shall handle the dialectical relation in the philosophical thinking between the human being versus the machine and the subsequent reflection thereof in contemporary Theatre.Although by means of the arrival of the technological revolution the human beings had gotten rid of slavery imposed on them by their brethren under the shadow of social slavery and serfdom order, they nevertheless got transferred to a new servitude imposed by the machine.

The human being started feeling that his humanity was wasted in the shadow of the industrial era; as the most exact applying systems of socialism had failed in solving the mechanical work monotony, as well as the human being feelings of being lost and torn.In order to recognize the mechanical state that dominated the contemporary human being, three texts from Western and Arab theatres were purposefully selected.

This study would benefit those involved in areas of philosophy, theatre and social science, as well as offering benefit for the academic establishments such as literature and arts faculties and institutions.
