Abstract EN

This study handles the elements of time image in Shawqi Bzays's Collection titled as: Butterflies for Budha's Smile.

It starts with an introduction on image conception in both old and modern criticism.

Its main idea dwells on Bzay's sources of time image which are shown to be four: the poet's education and genesis conditions, the influence of literary heritage, the inspiration of modern poetry and the role of nature incentives, whereas the time image itself is manifested through the themes night, death and colour.

The study comes to the conclusion that the element of time image in the collection have a great impact on presenting the embodied meanings to the recipient in an astonishing way.
