Abstract EN

This study aimed at identifying the difficulties that are faced by field training students in counseling at the University of Mu'tah and whether these difficulties vary according to gender.

To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher developed a scale to measure difficulties faced by field training students.

Validity and reliability of the scale have been confirmed.

The study sample consisted of 46 male and female B.A students from the under training counselors in the schools of Al- Karak governorate .

The results indicated that most difficulties that faced the students were : (when the counselor is assigned to run a vacant period),( in second place came (I see I am not versed Methods of individual counseling), in third place (the supervisors evaluation are described as not objective and tends to be biased).

The results did not indicate statistically significant differences in the difficulties that are faced by field training students due to gender variable.

The researcher recommended the following recommendations: to make aware the school administrations and teachers about the training counselors` tasks .

to develop and train the supervisors who are responsible for field training, to supply them with proper and valid methods to prepare and train students .
