This research is a specialized study in Arabic language presented to get the degree of (associate professor) in this major.

He paper tackles the minute linguistic issues in the onset of some wall hanging poems from the pre- Islamic poetry.

Thus the paper is linguistic and literary at the same time.

The researcher used the descriptive-analytical approach, as the data is collected from the onset of poems, and the researcher selected the appropriate parts for study and analysis.

Then these linguistic issues are studied in light of the views of linguists and literary critics from the pioneering and recent times, discussing their views, explanations, and inferences.

The critic then outbalances the appropriate views in terms of measure and meaning.

The paper is equipped with many original resources and references in addition to mentioning various names of prominent figures in language, literature and poetry.

This added splendor and gave the researcher a chance to get acquainted with various areas which he wouldn't have treaded but for Allah's willing and doing this paper.

The researcher combined the theoretical side- represented in the grammatical rules agreed upon by the linguists, and the applicatory one- through studying the degree of accordance in linguists' views, their different explanations of these rules, the basics they have agreed upon, giving more weight to some of these views , and choosing the most suitable ones from the researcher's perspective.
