In his essay entitled “The Relative Absolute and the Existent Other”, the Egyptian researcher in the sphere of Western philosophy Hamada Ahmad Ali explores this concept in its metaphysical aspect.

He notes that otherness has occupied a wide space in philosophy since Greek times up until the era of modern Metaphysics, and that the discussion on the duality of the World and its oneness has been the center of study concerning these concepts.

This essay focuses on the duality between absoluteness and relativity according to Frithjof Schuon, and the writer strives to establish the metaphysical identity of otherness in the world of creation.

He explores Schuon’s metaphysical views and his criticism of Western concepts that have deprived human nature from its spiritual elevation.

However, it must be noted that there are many objections on the traditional school which calls for immortal wisdom, and the most important of these objections is the inability to differentiate between revelatory religion and positive religion in addition to the invitation to a form of agnosticism derived from many cultures.
