Abstract EN

This paper discusses the proper nouns parsing which became a contemporary grammatical problem.

This problem appears clearly when parsing nouns like (Ibn and Ibnah), Mohammed Ahmed Ali ,or the nouns that end with the Arabic sound \ʊ\ like (Izu) as well as the foreign proper nouns such as (John).

The research shows through the use of the language, that it is difficult to apply the conjugation signs on such nouns.

Thus, the Cairo Assembly has exerted great effort to subject some of these nouns to the Arabic grammar rules.

However, all these efforts have failed and Arabic speakers at their different levels keep pronouncing these proper nouns in the same way.

The paper also investigates some heritage books and figured out the grammatical rules of the above mentioned proper nouns .It comes up with the fact that it is difficult to apply the parsing signs on proper nouns like (John or Izu).So, their unmarked ending is inevitable.

The paper calls to differentiate between Al-aagamia nouns like (Jacob) and the foreign nouns like John.

It says that the parsing signs do not appear on the end of the foreign nouns while they appear on the end of the Aagamia ones.

The paper recommends that the grammar lesson should be in cope with the contemporary Arabic language and the new phenomena and the problematic parsing areas.
