Abstract EN

This study tackled Al Neelain University experience in terms of distant education of library and information science at the undergraduate tertiary level.

The nature of the programs provided, the appropriateness, coverage, design and promotion and development.

The researcher adopted the historical and the analytical methodologies of the syllabuses.

A number of the results have been obtained of which the weakness and lack of clear, strategy when producing the relevant syllabuses in terms of design, shape and layout.

The research come up with a number of recommendation set as follows: The necessity for designing an obvious objectives of the syllabuses that emphasize the theoretical and empirical aspects of the modern field profession.

Educational assignments are considered as complementary to that of the theoretical aspect of the syllabus
