Abstract EN

This study aimed to exploring the values included in e-book of Earth and Environmental Sciences textbook of the tenth basic grade in Jordan.

The researchers analyzed the content of e-book of Earth and Environmental Sciences textbook of the tenth basic grade by using a special categorization as a tool to analyze the content.

The validity of the tool and reliability of the analysis were obtained .

After a thorough analysis of the content, the study revealed the following findings : - The results of the study showed that the number of important values deducted from the textbook reached (34) divided into six areas as follows: the religious values area (5) values, the national values area (5) values, the social values area (6) values, the economic values area (5) values, the scientific values area (7) values and the environmental values area (6) values.

- Total values were (190) values in e-book of Earth and Environmental Sciences textbook of the tenth basic grade.

- The results of the study showed the environmental values occupied the first position, the scientific values gained the second position, the economic values occupied the third position, the social values were placed the fourth position, the national values gained the fifth position and the religious values occupied the sixth position .

- The results of the study showed the values were not well-organized and unbalanced Based on the findings of the study, the researchers suggest the following recommendations: benefit from the results of the study and from the list of values which contained in study data when developing science textbooks
