Abstract EN

This study aimed at identifying the effectiveness of a program based on integrated activities in acquiring the topological concepts for the pre-school children in Jordan.

The sample of the study was chosen purposefully from 50 male and female children from the second level (5-6) years distributed randomly to two groups: (25) male and female children in the experimental group ،and (25) male and female children in the control group.

To achieve the objectives of the study ،the researcher prepared the tools of the study represented by: a list of the topological concepts necessary for the kindergarten child, and the educational program based on the integrated activities ،and testing the topological concepts of the kindergarten child after verifying its validity and reliability.

The results of the study showed there were statistically significant differences at the level of (α ≤ 0.05) between the performance of the experimental and control group in all the topological concepts (neighborhood, separation, arrangement, surrounding) for the experimental group favour that studied using the integrated activities program.

The study recommended using integrated activities as one of the educational techniques in acquiring topological concepts as one of the sources of learning in kindergartens, and making them available for teachers to use them in teaching children.
