Abstract EN

The aim of this study is to identify the differences of students enrolled in Oum El Bouaghi university of the level self-esteem when considering the following variables (of sex, specialization and interaction between them), and examining the relationship between the level of self-esteem and cognitive motivation.

The study sample consisted of (243) students from various Oum El Bouaghi university faculties.

and the researchers used the tools was prepared, The study revealed the following results: 1) There is no statistically significant differences in the level of selfesteem based on the variables of sex, specialization or interaction between them.

2) There is a statistically significant positive correlation between selfesteem and cognitive motivation.

3) the correlation between self-esteem and cognitive motivation varies according to the change of sex and academic specialization
