Abstract EN

The research aimed to identify the reality of using the language of science in teaching science in the intermediate stage according to the female supervisors and teacher's viewpoint.

The descriptive method is used in this research.

In data collection, three instruments are used: supervisor’s questionnaire, teacher’s questionnaire and observation card for teachers, they were applied on a sample of (15) supervisors and (80) science teacher at the intermediate stage of Taif.

The results showed that the high level of supervisors` concern about using the language of science in training, directing and evaluating teachers.

The level of using language of science by teachers is also high except with respect of using the activities of the language of science (the level of use was average).

Supervisors and teachers also agree that the cause of the weakness of interest in using the language of science is due to the low level of students' own language, in addition to the lack of modern scientific books in the school library, and the difficulty of the access to scientific journals.

Moreover, the results indicated that the level the teachers use of the language of science through their observations came in the midlevel.
