Abstract EN

This study aimed to clarify the impact of the implementation of Neighborhood projects related to integrated rural development on achieving sustainable rural development.

Therefore we dealt in the theoretical part with sustainable rural development, where we tried to clarify the most important stages that leaded to the emergence of this concept, as well as to identify the most important principles on which it was built.

For the national level we dealt with the transformations that have touched rural spaces in Algeria and most of the policies applied since the independence to the present day, with a focus on rural and agricultural renewal policy and its basic implementation tool which is the neighborhood project for integrated rural development.

For the practical part, we have tried to assess a range of neighborly projects for integrated rural development, implemented in several municipalities of the wilaya of Khenchela.

In that part we have analyzed and assessed the effects of these projects to achieve sustainable rural development in these areas.

Therefore we have used one approache; related to the assessment at the micro-economic level through the study and evaluation of each project separately.
