The Moroccan mountains are considered as a diverse and an opulent sector in terms of natural, social and cultural resources….

Nevertheless, they are also regarded as one of the lowestgrowing geographic fields in Morocco because they have undergone numerous aspects of lateness.

The development policies which have been adopted by the country, since its independence up to now, have marginalised these areas despite some circumscribed tentatives.

Hence, this has led to the exacerbation of mountains problems.

In order to rehabilitate these zones, officials have to abandon that selective approach when dealing with national areas as well as set up domestic and procedural projects that aim at realising a long lasting local development at the level of mountains territories
