Abstract EN

The absence of the Muslim Ummah from the contemporary civilized scene is a result of not only external challenges but also internal problems that have been accumulating over time and took away the Ummah’s civilization project.

These problems dragged the Islamic creed – which is the core of the civilization project – into topics against which Allah the Legislator has warned.

Those topics formed an acute bend that deviated Muslims away from the Quranic empirical method.

They caused a state of idleness and dependence, which led to this bitter harvest being reaped by this generation.

Furthermore, this bitter harvest is likely to reaped by future generations, unless scholars step in and take the lead to put an end to this crisis.

This can be achieved by their unity and collaboration to revive the Ummah’s civilization project by establishing an institution that would form a faith authority to supervise this project and guarantee its maintenance.
